We’re In This Together…

Dear family, friends, patients, and acquaintances

As 2015 draws to a close, we all naturally reflect on how fast the year went right?   I have to say though, I’m a little relieved to leave it behind.

Johny and I have both had our share of health challenges this year.   But in the end, I don’t think I’d have it any other way.

  • I got a fresh glimpse of how much work it is to shop, cook, do dishes, hold down a job, maintain a life which for us is all of our farm animals, AND work on your health and all of the medical paperwork that comes with it at the same time.  And all the while, not feel so great which compounds the issue.  (If you are a patient, you know this right?)
  • I also learned SO much along the way.  I am now screening for root causes that I hadn’t before even considered.  I will be a better clinician thanks to this opportunity.
  • It has also forced me to realize what an impact stress, toxins, and pathogens can play.  Of course I know of these, things but my own illness has really made me dive into research regarding them.   And now new knowledge I can share with others.
  • It’s also made us lean into our faith.  And to trust that there was a reason for this even though it didn’t make sense.  And also didn’t seem fair, given how hard we already work on our health.

Just so you know, we both seem to be on the healing end, although very much still a work-in-progress and lots of attention to our diet, supplements, detox regimens, pathogens, etc.    Thank God.

But if you yourself are a patient and thinking of giving up, remember this.  Even as an organic, gluten free, supplement-taking nutritionist with years of integrative, natural, and functional training…. things happen.  And it took many months and a lot of labs (!) to really drill down on root causes and triggers.

So, that said….we’re in this together.  I’ll be writing more about what we went through and what I’ve learned in 2016.   I am taking a sabbatical from seeing patients for a few months.  It’s been a dream of mine for a few years now to do a group business mentoring class.  The demand for my services is beyond what I can fulfill.  And there are some other great health care professionals out there, and they just need to learn how to get the word out.  So I built a course…..and they came:)  We start class on Monday 1/4/16 and continue through the year.

I’ll still be on social media.  And doing recipes, interviews, articles, and video blogs.  I hope that as I move forward, I can do an even better job sharing what I’ve learned – and with more of you at one time –  now that my schedule isn’t quite as full.  And it is just a temporary time out.  I don’t have any intentions of giving up private practice but I have learned I can only do so much.  So it’s time now to mentor other health care professionals, and continue my own health journey.  I must say, I am really looking forward to a little time to really focus on my own health.  But like I said, I’ll be back.  And I’ll be better than ever!

Wishing YOU health, happiness, wisdom, and love and that 2016 is YOUR best year ever too!

God bless,

~  Tracy
