    Turmeric Salad Dressing

    Turmeric is related to the ginger plant has been used for thousands of years to treat a variety of health conditions. Its most common use is in curry, but there are so many things you can use turmeric for!

    It has a great anti inflammatory effect which may help reduce pain from osteoarthritis. It also has anti-oxidant effects and some studies have shown that it may help to reduce plaque build up in the arteries which can cause a heart attack. Research is pretty consistent in showing that turmeric helps relieve indigestion. It stimulates the gallbladder to produce bile which helps improve digestion. Turmeric has also been shown to relieve gas and bloating.

    Try this salad dressing for another great way to get turmeric in your diet! Making your own salad dressing is super easy and so much better for you than buying pre made dressings at the store!

     

    Ingredients

    1 tsp of ground turmeric
    1/2 tsp fine sea salt
    1/4 tsp ground black pepper
    1/4 tsp garlic powder
    1 tsp of dried dill weed
    2 tsp of coconut sugar
    3 Tbsp of champagne vinegar
    1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil

    Directions

    Put all ingredients in a glass jar or bottle bottle with a tight fitting lid. Shake well! Pour and toss over your favorite salad greens.
