Cilantro Lime Garlic Cashew Sauce

This is a delightful fresh-tasting sauce.  If you leave it on the thicker side, it’s great as a dip.  If you dilute it a bit, you could also use as a healthy whole-foods salad dressing.

The fresh lime juice is a deal breaker – it really adds to the recipe!

And, cilantro is an incredible detoxifier for heavy metals so this is one more way to get it into your diet AND still enjoy your food!


3/4 cup raw cashews
1/2 cup fresh cilantro
1 large clove of garlic
1/2 cup filtered water
3 Tbsp fresh lime juice
2 Tbsp ripe avocado
1/2 teaspoon Himalayan sea salt
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder



1. Put the cashews in a small bowl and cover with boiling water. Soak for 1 hour. (You could also soak them in room temp water for 8 hours or overnight).

2. Drain and rinse the soaked cashews.

3. Add all ingredients to your high-speed blender or a food processor. Blend on high until it’s smooth & creamy. Add a bit more water if needed to help blend.

4.  Enjoy!!!
