You can’t resist pumpkin spice lattes this time of year! But I’m always hesitant to buy them at a coffee shop – even in decaf – because who knows what they put in it (often fake syrupy flavorings). I love making this because I know what EXACTLY goes in it and I feel good about it.
Chaga mushrooms are health-full. They are anti-viral, anti-bacterial, and support healthy white blood cell production. They also cleanse the thyroid of toxins and nourish optimal function. I’ve tried a few brands and although more expensive, Vimergy Chaga dissolves and has a high energy frequency. Chaga tea tastes a lot like coffee so it’s a perfect healthy substitute!
Ingredients:
4 oz of hot – but not boiling – water
1 tsp Vimergy Chaga powder
1/2 to 3/4 cup cup non-dairy beverage – like So Delicious coconut creamer
3 T organic pumpkin puree
2 tsp maple syrup or real raw honey
a dash of pumpkin pie spice
1/2 tsp vanilla powder (Natural Zing)
Garnish: whip some canned coconut milk, or look for a healthy whipped topping.
Directions:
Blend all ingredients in a blender; blend until well mixed. Be careful when blending hot liquids that the lid is on securely. I usually leave the center ring propped open just a little bit to vent. BE SURE that you start it on the lowest setting. Pour and enjoy!!!
