We get organic frozen cherries at Costco, and I have been making smoothies with them. They’re so addicting! I love having them in the house, they make a great go-to healthy snack. Packed with potassium, antioxidants (the darker the better), and so much more – they’re said to help reduce inflammation and relieve pain from arthritis and gout, decrease the risk of heart disease and some cancers, and even help you get a good night’s sleep!
Ginger is one of the oldest foods used for medicinal purposes. It can be used to treat nausea and vomiting and may improve morning sickness and menstrual cramps. It has anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. Because of specific enzymes, ginger helps to calm the stomach and aid in digestion.
This smoothie is packed full of vitamins and mineral – a great way to start your day!
