Two Quick Facebook Tips for You…

I am updating and re-doing pieces of my website, which will affect my brand and services I offer……….so I was updating my Facebook business page and realized it’s a tip I should share with you all too.

First off, I hope you have 2 different Facebook accounts.

So assuming that, let’s get to the Tips!

Your “About” Section – This is the perfect opportunity to share your business details with your Facebook fan base. Be sure and include your website link, contact information, and a detailed description of your business. In the About section, a certain portion of words will show up in your page all the time. Assuming  this is the case, place your website link BEFORE you put in any description and keywords. (Check out mine and you will see what I mean.)

Using Keywords – When you are filling in the long description of your business, make certain you use keywords that relate to your brand.  For example, some of my key words are :  functional medicine, diabetes, celiac disease, rheumatoid arthritis.  Pick keywords relevant to your industry and the types of words or phrases that people would use when searching out a business like yours.
If you haven’t reviewed your Facebook “About” description in awhile, it’s time!  Having a good description, and using key keywords, is critical to your customers finding you!  Also be sure you’ve listed your URL.

You WANT to use social media to drive traffic to your website.
