    Chia Blueberry Banana Bliss Smoothie

    I love the cashews in this recipe! They have such a comforting/fatty texture that is satisfying 🙂  Normally I try to keep my fruit smoothies free of fat and protein, just adding raw veggies like spinach, but every once in a while I like to change it up! The additional protein and fat in this recipe helps me stay fuller longer.

    (Makes 3-4 cups)

    Ingredients:

    1/2 cup whole raw cashews
    1.5 cups water
    1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
    1/2 cup frozen blueberries
    1/2 cup frozen raspberries
    1 fresh or frozen banana
    1 Tbsp chia seeds

    Directions:

    Blend the cashews, water and vanilla in blender until smooth. Add the fruit and chia seeds until smooth. If you prefer a thinner consistency add more water to your liking.
